Kawase-cho Nagaya: A Heritage Revitalized (Kyoto, 2026)

Under the thoughtful supervision of Alex Kerr, we have completed a full-scale renovation of a traditional Nagaya (row house) dating back to the early Showa period. Our goal was to preserve the nostalgic atmosphere and original character of the structure while transforming it into a modern sanctuary. A primary focus was placed on family-friendly design; we carefully optimized the flow of movement (dousen) to ensure safety and convenience for a household with a young baby.

The result is a harmonious blend of past and present—a home that honors its historic roots while providing the comfort and functionality essential for a new generation.
