The Kyoto National Garden Information Center (2022)
The Nakadachiuri New Exhibition building in Kyoto Gyoen National Garden is a wooden structure completed in 2022 that utilizes traditional timber-frame (zairai jikugumi) methods, as featured in Shinkenchiku magazine.
Designed by Kohyama Architects for the Ministry of the Environment, the project emphasizes a "core and porch" (moya and hisashi) layout to integrate with the surrounding historic environment.
