INUNOWA TANGO: Heritage Conversion & Pet-Friendly Stay (Kyotango, 2024)
This project involved the renovation of a traditional Japanese folk house (kominka) and a former textile factory into a specialized farm-stay accommodation. The design balances the preservation of the original wooden structure with practical updates for guests traveling with dogs. Key features include an integrated dog-run, dedicated free-roam areas, and the installation of wood-burning stoves in both the lodging and residential quarters. Located within walking distance of the beach in Amino, the facility serves as a year-round retreat for pet owners.
