Kyotango Mairingen Distillery: A World-Class Rebirth (Kyoto, 2023)

Located 620 meters above sea level within the lush Kyotango Forest Park Swiss Village, this project transformed a long-forgotten building into a top-tier craft gin distillery. A hallmark of this renovation was its community-driven execution; we worked hand-in-hand with local staff to breathe new life into the structure.

By preserving the building’s original retro charm while installing specialized distillation equipment, we helped create a space where hand-picked local botanicals—such as wild juniper and medicinal herbs—are distilled into award-winning "forest-scented" gin.
